Lauren Smith, LPC Associate

Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who provides care to adults, couples, children, and adolescents. She is passionate about helping clients feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered in a space that is safe. Lauren strives to create a place of healing and hope—where clients can grow, process, and move toward lasting change. She is deeply inspired by every person who takes the leap of faith to engage in therapy and feels honored to bear witness to the restorative work that results from such bravery. Lauren considers it a privilege to walk with clients through both the hard and the hopeful as they work toward meaningful change. 

Lauren offers individualized care through a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Adlerian, and Person-Centered approaches. She provides a holistic, integrative approach to help individuals' all around wellness.

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alabama in 2018 and graduated with her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas Baptist University in May 2025. She practices under the supervision of Dr. Treva Barham, LPC-S.

Lauren married her husband, Clay, in 2021. In 2024, they welcomed their daughter, Collins. Lauren and her family are active members in their church. In her free time, Lauren enjoys reading, walking her golden retriever, Oatly, and sipping a good cup of coffee.
