Lauren Smith, LPC Associate under the supervision of dr. treva barham, LPC-s

Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate practicing under the supervision of Dr. Treva Barham, LPC-S. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alabama and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas Baptist University.

Lauren is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. She believes every person's story matters and that counseling offers a place for healing, growth, and hope. She enjoys walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life's challenges, helping them process difficult experiences, recognize their strengths, and move toward lasting change.

Lauren has experience in both private practice and school counseling and works with adolescents (ages 14 and older), adults, couples, and families. She helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and identity-related challenges. She has a special passion for supporting women, especially mothers, through the unique joys, challenges, and transitions of each season of life.

Lauren approaches counseling with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each client's unique story. As a Christian counselor, she believes every person is created in the image of God and thoughtfully integrates faith into the counseling process when it aligns with each client's goals and desires.

Outside of the counseling office, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and their children. She loves reading, taking walks, and sharing a good cup of coffee with friends. She believes counseling is a collaborative journey and hopes every client leaves feeling empowered to pursue hope, healing, and the life they desire.
