catharine griffin, LPC Associate

Under the Supervision of Treva Barham, LPC-S

Catharine was born and raised in the small town of Covington outside of Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a dual Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from North Georgia University. After college, she spent several years in the classroom, including overseas in Germany as a missionary for two years. Teaching was a wonderful experience, but over time she realized that she desperately desired to serve the parents and students on a more personal level which led her to pursue a Master’s in Biblical Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary. While in seminary, she met and married her husband David in 2009. After graduating from DTS in 2012, she spent her time raising their three boys and serving as a Women’s Ministry Coordinator in several churches.
Catharine has begun her required counseling hours under the supervision of Treva Barham, LPC-S. As she moves into the counseling room as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, she brings a variety of life experiences to her conversations, including:

· 17 years of various volunteer church leadership roles

· Experiences with women in crisis pregnancies, children, adolescents, cross cultural students and adults, (Third Culture Kids)

· Premarital counseling

· Women’s and College ministry
She is currently a contributing writer for the Engage women’s blog at Bible.org. The Lord continues to transform her life every day and she looks forward to sharing that transforming hope with others.
