Michelle walker, mamft, lpc

Michelle’s favorite Bible passage, which informs her counseling ministry, is one in which an angel of the LORD unexpectedly, but intentionally engages with a desperate woman struggling with the circumstances in her life. She is not expecting this encounter but he calls her by name, asking, “where have you come from, and where are you going?” (Genesis 16:8 New King James Version). The woman answers honestly and then receives guidance, encouragement, and promises from Him. She knows she has truly been seen and this gives her the courage to fulfill her destiny. Michelle sees a powerful parallel between this Bible story and the professional ministry of counseling. The LORD sees us in our struggles, He enters into dialogue with us, and He uses others in our lives to challenge and encourage us - for our good and for His glory.

Michelle enjoys creating a space for clients to feel truly seen and heard. She is relational and enjoys helping others gain clarity so that improved insight might lead to discerned decision making. She is an Aggie who earned her master’s degree from LeTourneau University in 2016 and feels she has truly entered her calling.

Michelle has been married to Rob since 1998 and is the proud mom of Chip, Jack and Elle.
